Last updated: July 2026. This policy explains what data Sandooq collects, why we collect it, and how you can control it. It applies to everyone who uses sandooq.pk (“the Site”).
1. Information we collect
When you register, we collect your name, Pakistani mobile number, and password. Email is optional.
When you list an item, we collect the listing details (title, description, photos, category, size, condition, price, city) and any contact channel you choose to expose to buyers.
When you browse, we automatically collect technical information about your device — IP address, browser type, time zone, and cookies set on your device. We refer to this as “Device Information”.
2. How we use your information
Account information lets us authenticate you, surface your listings on your public profile, and route buyer enquiries.
Device Information helps us protect the Site against fraud and abuse, and to understand how the marketplace is used.
We send transactional emails (verification, password reset, listing approval, review invitations) only when an action you took requires them. We do not send marketing emails at MVP.
3. Sharing your information
Sellers’ public profile information (display name, city, listings, reviews) is visible to anyone visiting the Site.
Seller contact details are not revealed to buyers in the MVP. Buyers place orders through Sandooq checkout instead.
We share aggregated, anonymised analytics with our infrastructure providers (e.g. Cloudflare, our hosting provider) to keep the Site fast and secure.
We may share your information with Pakistani law enforcement when we receive a lawful written request, or as required by the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016 (PECA).
4. Data retention
Account data is kept while your account is active. If you delete your account, your profile and personal information are removed within 30 days; aggregated analytics may persist.
Listing photos are stored on Cloudflare R2. Soft-deleted listings have their photos pruned after 30 days.
5. Your rights
You can update your profile, listings, and contact details from your account settings at any time.
You can request a copy of the personal data Sandooq holds about you, or request deletion, by emailing abuse@sandooq.pk.
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential. Sandooq will never ask you for your password.
6. Cookies
We use only the cookies required to keep you signed in and to defend against CSRF attacks. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies at MVP.
7. Changes to this policy
When we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
